Bab Qasbah, Tangier, Roberson © 2007The first evening of the conference, Picturing/Performing Tangier (Feb. 2007), we visited the Qasbah Museum en mass for a special opening of the art exhibit "Break Through to Grey Room: Casabarata." The picture above shows the scene as we walked together approaching Bab Qasbah, the gate through the city walls leading to the former palace of the Sultan, Dar Al-Maghzen. The picture below shows the open area just inside the city wall along the winding route to the museum entrance.
